Luke and Dakota's first day of School

We started off the new school year with a "Back to School Party" Evie and Sophia joined us for some yummy food and a my sad attempt of a pencil cake. Dakota started the fours class and Luke started Kindergarten. My little boys are growing up!

Catons in California 2008

We had a great time back home in California visiting family and friends. We spent the first week in San Jose. The boys got to play Super Friends with the Wilson clan kids. Patrick spent most of his week working at Stanford. We managed to sneak in a few trips to Santa Cruz to celebrate Patricks birthday and fellowship with the Wilson and Gonzalez family! The next week we drove down to Visalia for a week of swimming and endless barbecuing. Avery got to meet her Great Grandma GiGi for the first time and got endless kisses from other family members. The two weeks were too short and we loved every minute of reuniting with friends and family.

We had a Lightning McQueen Birthday Party for Dakota this year. He had fun playing with friends, eating cake and smashing his pinata. Patrick made his cake! Very Yummy

We all took the train to DC on Monday to visit the Air and Space Museum. It was a beautiful day and although exhausting, we had a great time! The boys loved looking at all the airplanes!

Dakota enjoys his ice cream and Avery sports her red white and blue outfit!

Dakota and Avery are very happy to have Luke back at home. Avery gets lots of hugs and kisses from her brothers.

On a good day Luke would walk down the hall to the hospital playroom and play with other kids or with Patrick. Papa Mel came out for a week from California and was a great comfort to us in the hospital. Luke enjoyed his visits from Dakota and Avery. God has faithfully brought us through our time in the hospital and continues to show us his love and grace as we walk through this season in our life.

2008 started off with the new addition to our family! Our sweet baby Avery was born on January 12th weighing in at 8lb 4oz. . She is a very happy baby and she loves her brothers!
